WHAT IS OBEDIENCE TRAINING?
Imagine a dog that always comes when called on/off leash, doesn’t make pointless noise, doesn’t destroy your house, doesn’t pull on lead, heels on/off leash next to your thigh, reliable sits, downs with distractions, durations and distances. Well behaved in both physical containments such as the crate, kennel or ex-pens and mental containments such as the place board. This is all done with a balanced training approach anyone telling you otherwise is lying to you. This does not mean we rely on bribery or punishment we simply utilize a consequence-based system that teaches the dog to make the right choice every single time. This makes things very black and white for your dog so it’s very easy for them to understand. This allows clients to see immediate everyday changes on their dog’s behaviours.
HOW DO WE TRAIN?
It is a very different approach to most mainstream pet training because we use modern techniques, tools and effective methods that has been proven over decades.
EQUIPMENT LIST
The following list is the equipment necessary and needed for our obedience training program.
- 6ft leash
- H.S. Prong collar (if you are using the 2.25mm or smaller you need a safety clip)
- Dogtra e-collar
- Treats
- Long leash or a long flexi lead
- Hungry dog or a play driven dog
