2. CORE OBEDIENCE & FOUNDATIONS
Obedience training done right can save lives. In our puppy training classes, we teach fundamental behaviours including: Place Command, Recalls, Heel, Crate Training, Sit/Down, Stay, and Leave It. We also introduce structured play, teaching the puppy that working with the handler is the most rewarding part of their day.
3. REAL-WORLD SOCIALIZATION
Socialization is often a misunderstood aspect of a dog’s education. It is not about letting your puppy meet every dog or person they see. True socialization is teaching the puppy to be calm, neutral, and attentive to the handler regardless of what is happening in the environment.

To ensure success in our programs, having the right tools is vital. Please ensure you have the following:
- Standard 6-foot Leash: A sturdy leather or nylon leash for maximum control.
- Training Collar: A well-fitted flat collar to provide clear communication.
- High-Value Treats: Small, soft rewards to keep your puppy motivated and focused.
- Long Line (15-30 feet): Necessary for practicing safe recall in open spaces.
- A “Hungry” Puppy: We recommend not feeding your puppy prior to class to ensure they are eager to learn.
